Romeo Ye

As Special Counsel at JT Lawyers, Romeo brings a wealth of experience spanning two distinct careers: over a decade in supply chain and international trade, followed by more than 12 years as a senior migration legal professional. His earlier career included several managerial roles in supply chain at Fortune Global 500 companies such as Toyota Australia, Aisin Manufacturing, and Taikoo Sugar Hong Kong. This foundation, combined with his subsequent immigration law expertise, enables him to deliver timely and effective global mobility solutions to multinational corporations and high-net-worth clients seeking to expand their business ventures in Australia.

In 2014, Romeo transitioned into Australia's immigration industry, securing accreditation as a registered migration agent with OMARA thereafter. Over the course of his practice, he has guided numerous global business leaders and accomplished professionals through the process of obtaining Australian permanent residency, helping them settle into the country and build new lives and businesses.

Driven by his passion for both business and law, Romeo went on to pursue a Juris Doctor degree. During this time, he gained valuable experience as a young visiting scholar in international law at prestigious institutions including Duke University in the United States and Leiden University in the Netherlands. After being admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Victoria, Romeo continues to work alongside his colleagues at JT Lawyers to provide comprehensive support to both local and international business communities.

Romeo holds a Bachelor of Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from RMIT University, a Master of Accounting from Federation University, a Graduate Diploma of Australian Immigration Law & Practice from Victoria University, a Juris Doctor from La Trobe University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussen.
